What is Hollywood Spectra?

Hollywood Spectra is a Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser platform developed by Lutronic, a world-leading South Korean laser manufacturer. Using 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths in four modes (Q-Switched, Quasi-Long Pulse, PTP and Long Pulse), it addresses everything from skin spots to tattoo removal, pore treatment to rejuvenation.

Named after the famous "Hollywood Spectra Peeling" (carbon peeling) procedure preferred by Hollywood stars before red carpet events. A special carbon solution applied to skin is blasted with laser for deep pore cleansing, oil control and instant radiance. "Hollywood glow" achieved even after one session.

The device's nanosecond pulse technology fragments target structures (melanin, carbon particles, tattoo inks) without damaging surrounding tissue. FDA and KFDA approved, used in 70+ countries worldwide.
What is Hollywood Spectra?

How Does It Work?

Hollywood Spectra works on photoacoustic and photothermal principles. In Q-Switched mode, intense laser energy is emitted in nanoseconds. These ultra-short pulses create rapid thermal expansion in target chromophores, causing mechanical fragmentation without surrounding tissue damage.

Carbon Peeling: A thin layer of medical carbon solution is applied to skin. Carbon particles settle into pores. When Q-Switched laser is applied, carbon particles explode, cleansing pores from within, evaporating excess oil, and stimulating collagen through controlled thermal damage.

PTP mode provides gentler energy distribution for rejuvenation and tone evening in sensitive areas.
1

Skin Cleansing

Makeup, oil and debris gently removed.

2

Carbon Mask Application

Medical carbon solution applied as thin even layer, 10-15 min drying. Carbon nanoparticles settle into pores.

3

Q-Switched Laser Blasting

1064nm Q-Switched laser applied to carbon particles. Each nanosecond pulse explodes carbon: deep pore cleansing + oil evaporation + thermal collagen stimulation simultaneously. 15-20 minutes.

4

Tone Evening & Rejuvenation

Second pass in PTP or Q-Switched mode targets melanin and tone irregularities. Result: instant glow, smooth texture, tight pores.

Treatable Conditions

Hollywood Spectra has one of the widest indication ranges in dermatology thanks to its four operating modes.
Sun spots and age spots — targeted pigment fragmentation
Melasma — gentle PTP mode management (laser toning)
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Enlarged pores — deep cleansing and tightening with carbon peeling
Oily skin control — laser sebum regulation
Dull skin — instant Hollywood glow
Acne scars (shallow) — laser resurfacing effect
Skin tone irregularities
Tattoo removal — Q-Switched ink fragmentation
Nevus treatment
Freckles removal
Café-au-lait spots

FAQ

A thin layer of medical carbon solution is applied and dried. Carbon nanoparticles settle into pores. Q-Switched laser then blasts the particles, cleansing pores from within, evaporating oil, removing dead cells and stimulating collagen. Result: instant glow, smooth texture, tight pores. Painless, zero downtime.
Yes, the PTP mode is specifically designed for melasma management with gentle, low-energy, homogeneous distribution. Low rebound risk unlike aggressive lasers. Melasma is chronic so treatment may take 6-10 sessions with maintenance.
Yes, zero downtime is a major advantage. Mild redness can be covered with mineral makeup immediately. Many patients have lunchtime treatments and return to work with makeup. Ideal 1-2 days before events like weddings or photo shoots.
